I wrote this... it's just a rough fraft, i'll make better
I want to suggest, a bill that needs to be created for the prosperity of Kentucky and for the rights of Kentuckians. I would appreciate honest feedback. Thank you for reading.
For 2014, I say we strive to repeal these wrongs which diminished and forbidden our use of this plant. Repealing cannabis prohibition, in my opinion, would give Kentucky the best utilization of this plant and economic growth, while securing we lead the nation in this industry, like we did before. Please understand a national cannabis industry is on its way. Federal law will soon ease it’s outdate marijuana policy, as at least the people of Colorado now have a constitutional right to grow this safe plant. I know we can pass this Act, in my opinion CA may still be too broken too by 2014. This is Kentucky's time to break our chains.
To be more clear, I am in favor of us adopting a senator, representative, and AG commissioner sponsored similar version of the California Cannabis Hemp & Health initiative, such an act could be called the Kentucky Cannabis Health & Hemp Act, Gatewoods name (or my fathers) could also be added in memorial.
This plant was wrongly taken from us, and from Kentucky. And I say we push to Repeal our current law, so our Hemp plant is lawful again. How it was before crazy and ill valued reefer madness changed our laws.
I don't feel like our government and law enforcement needs to give us permission to plant this seed, and use this natural and safe plant? I believe we should take it out of their hands by repealing, and not give them permission to continue this harassment by legalization, in any sense. Repeal is a powerhouse decriminalization bill which will optimize our Hemp industry, and restore our citizen’s rights.
Over 60% of Kentuckians support medical marijuana rights are given to those in need.
I don't feel like those in need, deserve to have to try and "qualify" to use this safe natural plant, we all know the benefits of. With a repeal act, those in need wouldn't have to go through the government process of getting or being denied a card, and still face some sort of unnecessary enforcement risk.
I don't think passing an Act like this would take changing our representation in Frankfort, just uniting what we already have. HB 463 which already relaxed our marijuana laws (with a 38-0 Vote in the senate & 97-2 in the House) set up the field for this legislation. We will have a positive federal decision on our legal states soon, and that, will encourage the passage of a pro cannabis reform bill. The federal law, regarding cannabis, is a main excuse for lack of interest politicians use to get involved in this basic freedom issue. But this will soon change, as Coloradoans have declared constitution right to this plant, and are continuing to cultivate, all varieties, of hemp.
In my opinion I don't think we should cut ourselves, and our state, short here. There is already many advocacy events scheduled this summer in our state which hopefully will do a good job at showing the public marijuana is safe, and just a dirty word for this plant, wrongly enforced by prohibitionist. Then, after a couple of more months of continual honest advocating, I feel we should pre-file this repeal Act for our 2014 legislation. No other state has more of a constitutional right to grow this plant than us, we have to understand and embrace that. Federal law will soon ease in regard to marijuana laws, before our 2014 legislative session which will allow us to progress and pass an Act similar to this.
I think all of our struggles have been leading up to this path. The showdown between the people and their representation, where we the people united will win. And the bill which will unite the people, is one that will restore our Cannabis Hemp industry and its rights to all Kentuckians. We already have more who are willing to get involved after the hindering of Cannabis Reform in our Congress this year. We must not underestimate our strength, and the strength of a bill that corrects the wrongs which made us stop prospering.
This can be powerful if we want and let it. The positive national, even international, attention would be overwhelming, and with an organized advocacy team (of over 300 willing citizens) we will be able to ensure our citizens understand the true history to why this plant is outlawed, and how safe it is. With a creative repeal act, an Act for Kentucky’s Freedom,
we will honor our past activists works and make leaps in our legislature, for the rights of our citizens.
We can pass an Act similar to the CCHI adapted to suit, and prosper, Kentucky.
The CCHI can be found here http://www.cchi2014.org/fulltext.html I am not saying it is worded correctly, just that repealing is the best route I see being the most successful for our state.
We once provided more than 90% of the nations Cannabis Hemp. We can prosper one day again, if we demand repeal. Thank you for reading and I would appreciate your views of this. Thank you.

Kentucky Cannabis Hemp Health Initiative 2014
Framework taken from the Jack Herer Initiative aka CCHI2013. An initiative I had a personal hand in some of the wording of. So it seems only appropriate I use it as a base to follow and put it fourth here with-in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Read more here - https://www.facebook.com/notes/kentucky...
